But it didn't stop there my father decided to take it up a notch. He wanted to open a store front, and so he did his very own store in Brooklyn. This happened in 1997, I was 6 years old. I still remember my father allowing me and my siblings to get messy painting the walls all white for the grand opening.

Fast forward several years later I was only 11 years old and ambitious, wanting to learn the business. So, I started learning the basics after school. I was polishing jewelry handing out flyers; making sure I threw out the trash, swept, and mopped.

Let's speed this up further at the age of 18 I was managing the store full time with five employees while attending College in order to receive my bachelor’s degree in Business Management, my father at the time was involved in a clothing store he created.

After being in a store front for so long and seeing the change in the market, I took notice to customer's already knowing what they envisioned. They didn’t want to look at the merchandise we already had. It was hard to sell something you don't have in inventory because it only exists in your customer's mind.

For me it was easier to be creative and help them develop a design by offering a selection of price points that accommodated what they felt comfortable spending. This is when my mind shifted in starting my own business (H.I.T. JEWELS) by making a direct connection with you, yes you the one reading this. I want to bring you along the process just as I do with every customer. I want you to create an understanding of how your very own future design could be made.
